Designing Local Wins Ohio Landscape Arch Award

Designing Local is honored to be an award-winner of a Ohio Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architecture Merit Award

in the category of Communications + Research. We were awarded for our work on The Essence of Athens Plan: A Strategic Design Plan for Community Competitiveness and Economic Enhancement. This wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work from partner MKSK and the Athens community and the City of Athens staff, especially Athens Planner Paul Logue, the “Essence Committee,” Mayor Paul Wiehl, the Athens Council, the Athens Municipal Arts Commission, and many others. As part of our strategic plan, Designing Local aspires to provide the highest quality work for our clients; we are grateful and humbled to be recognized for our work by the OCASLA jury.
