Matt joined Designing Local in 2018, bringing over 15 years of professional experience in urban design and landscape architecture in a wide-range of project types. His experience in both large scale planning efforts and built projects translate into ambitious and context-driven plans that are grounded in the realities of constructibility, regulatory processes, and cost. He is also a strong proponent of public engagement as a fundamental element of the creative process.
He is a passionate advocate for the built environment, currently serving as President of Columbus Landmarks. He also teaches coursework focused on urban design at the Ohio State University.
Matt has a Master of City & Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the Ohio State University.
