Small Business Summit
Designing Local Principal Amanda Golden and Associate Josh Lapp are thrilled to be among the 100 small business owners invited to the inaugural Small Business Leadership Summit May 11-13, 2015 in Washington, DC. The summit will allow for unique opportunities for two of Designing Local’s principals to discuss important issues facing young entrepreneurs and small businesses. The summit will also give an opportunity to inform and shape Small Business Majority’s policy platform for the coming year.
The Summit includes a full day of panel discussions, keynote speeches, interactive workshops and presentations by leading policymakers, industry experts and successful entrepreneurs at the National Press Club. Additionally there will be a half-day visit to the White House during which Designing Local Principals and other attendees will have an opportunity to engage directly with congressional leadership and senior members of the Obama Administration.
Following the Summit, policy recommendations identified will be incorporated into Small Business Majority’s policy platform—the Small Business Economic Agenda for 2015-16—released to the media and shared with decision makers to elevate issues of importance to small business owners.
As attendees of the summit we are excited to listen, learn, and be a part of a meaningful conversation on the issues that young entrepreneurs and small businesses owners face.
We’re also honored to represent the entrepreneurial community of Columbus on the national stage. Because of this opportunity, we invite all Columbus young entrepreneurs and small business owners to engage us (Amanda and Josh) in a discussion on the issues you face so they can advocate on your behalf at the summit. Stay tuned for future opportunities to engage or contact us directly using the information below!
